Hi there,
For school, I’ve gotta do a science project. I chose to do mine on tropical fish, and I have a section on Betta fish. Are there any cool experiments I can do on my Betta fish? I had already had a Betta, but I want to do some cool stuff with him. So, I’m already doing his air breathing (For those of you who don’t know, Bettas breathe air) and his agressiveness towards his reflections. Are there any others that I could do? Oh, and nothing that will hurt …

My male betta fish has severe pectoral fin rot, his previous tank conditions were not all that great, and his pectoral fins look as if they are just bone. There is absolutely no membrane between the bone looking structures. He’s in a clean tank now, and i was wondering if this is reversible, how long it would take, and what needs to be done. It’s an older betta fish and would really like to make it feel better. Any help would be great.
while i was typing this question, the fish …

I bought a betta fish on Sunday afternoon, he’s my first betta fish so I made sure I read up about them on the internet etc. As yet he has not eaten any food I have given him – I have been feeding him the betta bio-gold pellets, dropping 2 or 3 into his tank and taking them out if he hasn’t eaten them within 10 minutes. I’m getting worried as it’s been nearly 3 days now and he hasn’t eaten a thing – I know he needs to adapt …

My three betta fish, well three of the four that I have. Two are in a divided 10 gallon tank (providing each with 5 gallons) and the other is in a 5 gallon tank. From left to right: Schnee, Blitz, and Himmel; all German names. :] They do have nicknames, well two of them do. :] I like to spoil my bettas, the one on the far right has a tail biting problem that I am ALREADY aware of, so please do not comment about it. I have tried everything …

Hi everybody…..This is my first time keeping Betta fish as a pet,
Is this article right ???
Aquarium salt should be added to the water at a rate of one teaspoon per gallon. Salt is very important to the health of the fish. Salt can be dissolved in a cup of de-chlor’d water and added into the bowl or just added into the bowl before adding the Betta fish.

Will it do any harm??
Thank You
