This is essex autonomous robotic fish tested in a public fish tank in London Aquarium. The video was captured during preparation of unveilling the world first autonomous robotic fish in 2006. It was reported by BBC etc. There is 3 motors on tail joint. The skin is cosmetic and water flooded. The name of the fish are G6/g8/g9. This video shows how the fish detect tank wall and other fish by IR sensors and change its behaviour to avoid collision.

This is essex autonomous robotic fish tested in a small swimming tank. There is 3 motors on tail joint. The skin is water proof to protect motors. The name of the fish is G3. This video shows how the fish detect tank wall by IR sensors and change its behaviour to avoid collision. This fish can only swim under water surface by about 6 inches. A float ball is used to keep it floating.
