By this I mean, like the bubble treasure chest. I’m really close on doing it, all I need to do is separate the hard middle tube part from the to of the filter. However they are joined together. I want to know is there another way or can I just cut off the tube part.

You know how when you go to the pet store and then there’s those shelves with the betta fish in those little plastic containers? Now I’m just wondering, why is their water bluish and what is the purpose of the blue stuff?
I’m planning on getting a betta fish tank eventually. Should I own this substance and if so, what do I do with it? And another thing: I wanted to have bamboo plants in the tank, so will the blue stuff harm the bamboo?

Can I take out the crappy filtration system out of my biorb and put in a normal filtration unit???
That way i can get rid of the silly tube and the media rocks…
Then add bubbles where i want them and not just in the middle???
Help!!!!!
What I really want to do is get rid of the tube and the media rocks and use a decent filtration unit so I can use proper gravel etc…
Will it work???

I work in an orthodontic office and we have a betta fish, that is sort of our office "mascot". It seems he has become sick. He can’t seem to swim around normally. He floats to the top and just sits there. The only way he can stay at the bottom is if he sticks himself under the roots of the plant. His fins aren’t looking to healthy and he has a little bit of pop-eye. He doesn’t look bloated and he still eats just fine. What is wrong with him ...
