I have a 20 gallon with 1 1"pleco, 5 platys, and 7 gold barbs in planted aquarium. I will be on vacation for 9 days and the A/C will be off. I live in San Antonio, TX, and it gets over 100 degrees here. I don’t want to buy aquarium chiller, what do i do to keep aquarium cool?

Do the fish sleep?
Cause I have a Discus and some Cardinal Tetras and when there is no light in the room/aquarium, the Discus will be at the bottom of the aquarium and so would the cardinals. Their colours change too.
Why is this?

I know there are a bunch of ways to cycle a fish tank. I intend to cycle my freshwater aquarium without fish, and with pure ammonia. My question is, how long will this take…. The question I really have is: Should I put some chemicals in to my tank after the cycling is complete in order to keep the water from getting out of whack?

The box on my aquarium salt says "evaporated from sea water" so is it the same as sea salt?

I found a scorpion in my yard and chose to keep it in an aquarium as a pet. The aquarium is too large for just one animal so I want to get something else to put in it, but I don’t want it to kill or be killed by my scorpion, Blake. Blake is lonely, too.

I need to know what the best aquarium to get in order to start a saltwater aquarium. I’ve been doing freshwater for the past 6 years and I want to try saltwater. I would like to get an aquarium kit that had everything included if possible. I’ve been looking at the 29 Biocube. I have a space of 30 inches for an aquarium so I can’t get anything that is too big.

Someone gave me and aquarium and I would like to put fish in it. How do I clean it so that it won’t kill the fish? They had stored it outside.
