Betta fish??? I am thinking of buying a Betta fish. Are they aggressive to humans??? Would a plastic tank with like a lid and platsic slits in the top be suitable?? i have read that as long as the tank is kept at 70 degrees or more( room temp) then it would be fine. i have also heard that you shouldn’t use a filter as the fins can get stuck in it ?
How would a 14 litre plastic aquarium do??????? would this be ok???

This is wierd,my newly bought betta 1 male + 1 female are living happily together alongside 6 neon tetra! the neons show no interest in my beautiful bettas fins and the male betta is showing no aggression towards any of the other fish!!! my female betta is swimming around quite happy. my male appears to be quite young, i dont think his fins are fully formed! he is alot smaller than my other betta (in a seperate tank.) this isnt really a question, i just want to know peoples thoughts! …

My male betta fish has severe pectoral fin rot, his previous tank conditions were not all that great, and his pectoral fins look as if they are just bone. There is absolutely no membrane between the bone looking structures. He’s in a clean tank now, and i was wondering if this is reversible, how long it would take, and what needs to be done. It’s an older betta fish and would really like to make it feel better. Any help would be great.
while i was typing this question, the fish …

I bought a betta fish on Sunday afternoon, he’s my first betta fish so I made sure I read up about them on the internet etc. As yet he has not eaten any food I have given him – I have been feeding him the betta bio-gold pellets, dropping 2 or 3 into his tank and taking them out if he hasn’t eaten them within 10 minutes. I’m getting worried as it’s been nearly 3 days now and he hasn’t eaten a thing – I know he needs to adapt …

Hi everybody…..This is my first time keeping Betta fish as a pet,
Is this article right ???
Aquarium salt should be added to the water at a rate of one teaspoon per gallon. Salt is very important to the health of the fish. Salt can be dissolved in a cup of de-chlor’d water and added into the bowl or just added into the bowl before adding the Betta fish.
Does anybody ever tried it?how did it go??.
Will it do any harm??
Thank You
Also..can i just use tap water that i set 2 …

I have a 60 litre aquarium and I was wondering if I could add a betta fish to it. My main concern are the honey gourami- i have 2. I have been told they will kill a betta but I’m finding this very hard to believe- they’re the most timid fish I have ever kept.
I don’t have any guppies or fish with long flowing tails etc, the other fish in the tank are platies, cardinal tetras and harlequin rasboras.
Thanks guys :) i’ll pass on the beta. I still think i …
