I will not be able to purchase a water heater until next week so I do more frequent water changes to keep the betta warm. Can this be harmful? I know when he is getting cold because his fins start to look like half cooked fresh spinach lol and he stays in the corner. I just did a water change and he swimming again and his fins are fanned out again. Please tell me how to keep it warm until I get a heater

This is my FIRST fish and I don’t really know what is normal and what is not!Okay I just got him yeaterday and for the first time he ate a floating pellet(It made me really happy)after like 2 minutes not the whole thing but like little pieces of the pellet comes out of his mouth….It that NORMAL???

This question has always bothered me… I mean, do they just prefer to come to the surface and gulp or could they (if they wanted to, of course) just take in oxygen from the water and into their gills?
Am I making any sense, at all?

I have a 14 gallon tank with 2 platys,4 guppys,3 rummynose tetras and 3 silver hatchet fish,can i put 1 betta or will it be over crowded?

I have an old tank no heater and a new tank with a heater. What is the best way to move into the new tank without giving temperature shock? Do you:
1. put the betta in the new tank with room temp water and gradually heat it up to optimal
2. pre-heat the water and float the betta in the new tank, then move completely
3. pre-heat the water and add heated water slowly into old tank, then move completely
Help? Suggestions?

I JUST CLEANED IT YESTERDAY, ADDED CHLORINE DROPS TO CONDITION & CLEAR THE WATER. NOW IT’S CLOUDY AGAIN. THIS IS AN UNFILTERED TANK.
