i wanted to know what the filtration system is like and how it would house a large comet and a goldfish, thanks for your help.
are they as good as they say, anyone encountered any problems?
hi, catxcatx - i didnt say i have a fancy goldfish in there with a comet!! - im not mad. it's a regular goldfish

Goldfish are large and messy fish. An adult comet(2-3 year old) will reach well over a foot in length and live to be 30 years old or more. Fancy goldfish will be about 6-8 inches at adulthood and neither species belong in a tank that small. Comets require 50 gallons+ with a depth of more than 12" back to front and fancy goldfish require 30 gallons+ to maintain there health for any reasonable amount of time.
Biorb tanks combine a small undergravel filter and sponge filter and would successfully house *small* tropicals if a heater is included in the setup. With no heater you could house a betta, zebra danios, ghost shrimp, rosy red minnows, white cloud minnows, bloodfin tetras, peppered cories, wild type guppies, or a mix of those.
the filtration used by any ‘tank’ tat comes with a filter is already minimal.. not to mention that Biorbs use undergravel filters ONLY.. which is an outdated and inneffiecient filtration methos…
not to mention that 60L (about 15 gallons) is BARELY good enough for 1 fancy goldfish…
there are ALOT of problems with BiOrbs and BiUbes… i would recomend never buying one…
Bioorbs are NOT suitable for goldfish. The filtration is poor and the swimming space is minimal. They are glorified overpriced fish bowls.
60l, in a long proper tank, is only suitable (bare minimum) for 1 fancy goldfish while its small, with view to upgrade to over 150-200l, definitely not for comets AND fancy goldfish (which shouldn’t be together anyway).
No, No and No
no get mountain minnows or coldwater danios
I have 2 goldfish in mine for 2 years now and have encountered no problems. The filtration is ok and holds waste well. I would not reccommend the BiOrb though, as its no different to any other tank just the price!
no, sorry=[ 60 L is only like 15gals, and in order to house a reg goldfish, you need 50 +gal (200 L+) ad for 2 youd need like 75gal+ (300l) =]
