Will my shrimp eat sinking fish food wafers?

9 September 2010 6 Comments

I accidentally got the fish food ones instead of algae wafers. Will they eat them still, or are they not safe for them?
Thanks to everyone!

shrimps will usually eat anything that falls to the ground so it will be ok. also it’s good to give them a varied diet anyways.

they will eat them, except, you really dont need to feed them, since they are meant to be a clean up crew… thats what theyre supposed to be doing, cleaning up. but if you feel it necessary to feed them, the fish food will be fine…. actually its probably better than that alagea wafers so they get a more varied diet instead of just one thing on the menu.

They are not picky. My ghost shrimp ate algae wafers, catfish wafers, shrimp pellets, and frozen bloodworms.

They would actually pick up the wafers and run away into their hideouts with them.
