Let me get this straight… if the water is too hot i turn the hot water on more in order to cool the water?

I have watched 2 of her videos. I have always been told to remove 20% of the water, not 75% like she is saying. Also,i have a thermometer to tell me what the water temperture is. I keep freshly treated water in my refridgerator that i use to replace 20% of the water that i take out. I have a 1 gallon mini bow aquarium that houses 2 Japanese trapdoor snails. I need a chiller to lower the water temperture,it’s 85 degrees. I only need a mini chiller but they are so expensive and complicated
