I love watching bettas..esp. when they mate..it’s so magical. I have three of my own and they are my pride and joy :)

  • DRsegueta said:

Lolz that’s pretty cool, i have three right now as well, although i have had millions of them lolz, basically because i used to live in the dominican Republic and i use to go and catch them to the betta pond but now that I’m here in new york i can’t do that anymore and plus I’m still young lolz.

hey how do you clean the tank but the babies or eggs might die how do change the water?
and how will i seperate the fishes for each one do the babies have there own breeds like if one is red how will i know if its a crown tail ,a full moon how will i know?

  • DRsegueta said:

Buy one of those things that parents use to clean their baby’s nose. Its called turkey baster i think. Also you need to google “betta genetics” so that way you can know what you are getting. you may need to let them grow so you can find out because when they are really young you cant tell.

what do u feed the fry…..also everytime when i breed the betta the fry will also die..trying to get back to the bubble….help

  • DRsegueta said:

Just google it, just put something like. How to care for betta fry and lots of answer will come up. Or google betta fry foods.

hehe, she was gong off quite long…

  • DRsegueta said:

    Lol yup.

  • DRsegueta said:

Nope, they don’t just die like that. They die if they get any weird fish diseases or if you don’t feed them and clean water regularly. Or they die when they get too old.

    Lol no she didn’t die.

My female has eggs but my male hasnt made a bubble nest but he’s alawys swimming next to her and flaring and showing off his beautiful fins so what should i do now?

  • DRsegueta said:

Dude you should take him out, and try another day. or put her in a lil container till the male makes the bubble nest. Relax just give him time to make the bubble nest and then release the female.

  • syketo said:

what kind of leaf are you using? That doesnt look like an almond leaf

  • DRsegueta said:

    @syketo

It is, but that was when i was starting out so i dont really have that setup.
