I wouldnt. Your not supposed to take them out of the wild and put them in your tank because they could have diseases and whatnot. But, your not supposed to have Plecos and other Warmwater fish in with goldfish because Warmwater fish do not thrive in Coldwater and Coldwater Fish cannot thrive in Warmwater, GoldFish produce 2x the amount of ammonia than other fish, and It is bad for the Warmwater fish. I have done this sucessfully but ALL the people you ask will say no. So its pretty much your choice. Hope I helped.

Probably not, goldfish like a tank that has a high PH level and tend to be very acidic. The fresh water fish is used to cleaner water that is constantly running and purified from the rocks and plants. I had an plecostomus that I placed in a tank with our goldfish and he didn’t last more then a day, I didn’t know that it was too harsh an environment for them…Hope this helps :D
