Can I change the filtration system in my biorb?

20 July 2010 2 Comments

Can I take out the crappy filtration system out of my biorb and put in a normal filtration unit???
That way i can get rid of the silly tube and the media rocks...
Then add bubbles where i want them and not just in the middle???
Help!!!!!
What I really want to do is get rid of the tube and the media rocks and use a decent filtration unit so I can use proper gravel etc...
Will it work???

I’ve never done it myself, but I have seen it done – someone replaced the supplied filtration with an eheim aquaball. It was amazing – the tank looked fantastic and they were able to grow live plants.

i wouldnt take it out i would just add an internal sponge filter to help it along and that should do it.
