This is my Betta fish that I have had for 2 years and 3 months, Posiedon. I just upgraded him into this cool aquarium, a Marineland Eclipse system 3 (3 gallons), from a 6 inch wide bowl and so far he loves it. He must be camera shy because he wasn't moving much in the video, but he is usually all over the place. enjoy the video :) Oh and if your wondering about the mario backround, that is just temperary until I can get a cool new, tropical bacround paper.

Pretty betta :)
Nice name for the fish..
And I have to say, I like that color!
Yeah one day in class we were learning about Greek Mythology and the name just came to me!
thank you. :)
Yes, I remember that name from my Latin class?
Do you know the story behind it?
No, I don’t believe I do.
Very nice betta!
I thought about naming my fish Poseidon;
But I thought Jim would fit better =P
Also, I just got a red & black male betta, and named him Ares; just thought you should know, they’re both names of gods or something =P
-Don
Jim? Lol, yeah posiedon was a perfect name because its the “god of the seas” or sumthin.
posiedon is such a good name i was going to get 2 bettas( in seperate bowls) and name one posiedon and ares, like a red and blue betta
very nice tank!
nice tank, love the back ground lol
i think the tank is too big for such a small fish. and the decoration doesn’t look natural to me. but still, this is a cool video. i have 5 betas at home. none of them has name :)
Well… Maybe ovr the summer I’ll put in real plants, that might be cool, but it could be tough to maintain. I’ll have to look into that.
Last month I got 3 new fish and two real plants in my tank. I made a video and hopefully I will upload it soon.
wow, i had the same tank and it would develop algae in a couple days.
I love your backdrop, it beats my piece of construction paper to a wet pulp.
lol, thanks.
Compliments on the video! Contrary to popular myth bettas do not do well at all in such small containers as the well known betta bowls. There’s no room and the environment sours quickly so when you see someone concerned enough to devote a few gallons to these guys…it’s cool. Even with bettas..there is no such thing as too big so the fact that your devoting at least a few gallons to Posiedon shows you care ! Nicely done!
thanks, my fishes do love this tank.
if youre naming your beautiful betta fish after the god than it would be spelled poseidon
k thanks ill change it
How cute! I have a quick question – did you find the current from the filter was too much for him? Or is that just one of those things aquarists worry too much about? :o) Thanks!
@tonacolorado Oh the current is fine for bettas
omg my betts looks just like that and he has the same name
