Adding different rocks to biOrb?

1 June 2010 3 Comments

I have a 8 gallon biOrb. It only has my white crown tail male betta in it. I saw you can get these rocks to put on top of your media filter rocks. They are sharp and there for I cannot add any corydora's. Are they any good? Should I do it? Could I get 3 corydora's if I did?

Thanks

It sounds like a good idea to me, the sharp rocks might even be putting your betta’s fins at risk if you leave them alone.

Yeah, that would be fine. Add the gravel and some panda corydora’s. 3 or 4?

You want smooth rocks for cory cats. They actually do best with sand but will do well with smooth gravel. Cory cats prefer to be kept in groups so I would get at least 3, but no more than 5 since you only have 8 gallons to work with. Good Luck!
