Can I feed my goldfiish tropical fish food?

Well can I? I got some tropical fish food from my aunt today and i was wondering i can feed my goldfish the food? That may be a stupid question but im new to the fish world!!!

yea i do…my goldfish hate goldfish food it is not as high quality and they just spit it out so i give them their luxury
come on their fish, they dont live long, they deserve it!
you could its not going to hurt your goldfish but it wont be getting the same nutrients as it would with goldfish food.
its 1000% fine my goldfish are 4 years old and have only eaten trop fish flakes .
they seem to like trop flakes a LOT more and oranges they love em.
Tropical fish food can be too acidic for goldfish, so stick with either vegetable matter or food formulated for goldfish. Nutrafin Max from Hagen is a nice flake for goldfish, and it’s low in ash content (meaning the vast majority of the food is actually digestable and not just filler content).
Selecting a fish food is like selecting food for dogs, cats, and even people. Sure, you can eat a low grade food and survive (look at all the people who live on McDonald’s), but eating a high quality food specifcially for your nutritional needs is going to do you much better in the long haul than compromising for cost.
Ya you can. I have two fish tanks and my goldfish and my clown fish eat the same fish food. Either way they can eat it.

YES ITS OK ,,,ive been breeding goldfish for over 25 years and all i feed my fish is whisketts cat kible and they love it,,,i also feed them chewed up chicken,meat,vegies and peanuts they love them,,,,hope this helps
