Where can I find the best looking Betta Fish In Gerogia?

30 March 2010 5 Comments

I see pictures of beautiful betta fish with lots of cool colors. Dose petco sales good looking betta fish or petsmart or what other store.
And Last week I put in my female betta fish in the other side if the divider with the male for like 20 min. Then I took her out and she was a stripe up. And the next day she was still stripe up and today she is still stripe up. Does this mean that she is pergnate and if she is making eggs will she absorb them back becuz i dont have the right equipment to breed them yet.

The Fish Store and More on Piedmont Ave. (Near Lenox) usually has beautiful Bettas….more fancier than Wal*Mart. I believe the cost around $12.00 each.

As for the stripes, they indicate that the female is ready to breed. If you remove the divider between the male and female, they should breed if the female is receptive….if not he will kill her and you will need to separate them. (The male will build a bubble nest in anticipation of fertilizing the eggs) He will fertilize the eggs and deposit each egg into the bubble nest and tend to them. You should remove the female after they breed. When the eggs hatch, you will need to move the babies to a grow out tank.

Join a Yahoo forum on Betta breeding and ask more questions. You may find a breeder in the Atlanta area with show quality Bettas, but they will a bit more.
