anyone know what might be wrong with her? I am not feeding her blood worms instead and she eats those a lot better, but her fin is still stuck like that. But this is Tael, she was the boss of my betta female colony before this happened and I had to remove her so she could rehabilitate in peace.

well she got better from that, but died later from a parasite i’m afraid.
its usually clamped when she’s stressed or sick
man i wish i saw this erlier you fishes fins where decaying. i know it sounds bad but you can go to the petstore and get some medicine for it. my fish has the same thing but it is not active, so today i got the medicine and hopfully he will get better. so if you get a different fish then you’ll know what to do.
ya know what ur really lucky 8 days ago 9 degrres ATL and my fish was in its tank its scales where sticking up like goosebumps and its color fadded i still dont know how to fix it
how is that lucky? She died..not from this but something else
no it wasn’t that. Her slime coat was over producing and it caused her tail fin to stick together. She healed from that but later some bacterial infection killed all my female bettas, plus her. It was sad but by the time I found out what it was it was too late. With her it was just warmth, feeding of blood worms, then to just wait and she got better.
its lucky cause my fish is surfuring from hypodremia (think i spelled it wrong)
….it’s never lucky when a fish dies..
true
wrong urs died of dropsy
I have a ten gallon tank for my beta and they thrive. They are also mixed with four cories and all get along. DO you have a bio filter? Sorry you are having trouble. It is very upsetting..
She died, quite awhile back. She had a parasite that killed her. I have some new girls now who I am trying to put together at the moment. I do have a filter yes, not sure if it’s ‘bio’ or not
T__T this is what happened with my male betta O_O was her tail ends brown? My male betta started to get brown thing on his tail and began to spread and then died in a matter of days
no, but that soudns like fin rott
there is no filtration system no air dirty water, u need a filter
I don’t know but the water looks gross….If she hhad a parasite and died from a bacteria infection it was your fault for not keeping the tank clean enough
the water was changed every other day. It wasnt’ dirty. The lighting is bad, and the plastic is foggy. She didn’t die from that, she caught dropsy later and died, but recovered from whatever this was.
did you ever find out what this was?? how did you cure it??? my betta just wants to hang out at the bottom of his tank.. he rarely swims around and his fins won’t spread out.. i tried making him flare but he wouldn’t..
nope =( she got better on her own. There are a lot of things that can go wrong with a fish, and usually by the time they show the signs it’s too late DX you could try getting some parasite killer and see if that helps, and just keep them in warmish water, don’t let it get under 70 or over 80, keep it clean and if they don’t get better on their own you did your best =(
:) okay i’ll try that thank you :P
he was fine this morning.. just now hes not himself.. ah well.. there goes $7 down the drain lol
good luck. I have had some that got better, and some that died with symptoms like that . You never know ;^^ some illnesses are obvious, but others are not.
maybe because she might be pregnant
:D
yaaah no ;^^
she seem stress…tats y its causing her to get sick…normally water temp change causes this n dirty water condition…it looks like PROTOZOAN PARASITES…its grey white film of mucus on body…it can be cure with Quick Cure…tats wat i use n it works…alright…later
