Has anyone else had any problems removing the bubble tube from a Biorb?

10 March 2010 One Comment

I have a 30l Biorb but I can't seem to get the bubble tube out to clean out the filter or replace the air stones.
It doesn't matter how much I twist (my partner has even had a go) but it doesn't seem to budge in the slightest.
The sponge in the filter is disgusting but I can't get to it. The water quality is still good, but I want to clean it out as best I can as soon as possible.
Any ideas?

There could be a bit of gravel wedged in there. I had this problem a few years ago but always came free in the end
