Can my 30 Litre Biorb fishtank hold two Clownfish, a Chocolate Starfish and a Hermit Crab?

30 March 2010 3 Comments

I recently got a 30 Litre (8 gallon) Biorb tank and was wondering how many tropical fish I can keep in it. Ideally, these are the fish I'd like: two Clownfish, a Chocolate Starfish and a Hermit Crab.

First off. for two clownfish. a chocolate starfish and a hermit crab you would need a 30 gallon tank at a bare minimum. the only thing a 8 gallon Is suitable for Is a single BETTA fish

and the fish you listed are all SALTWATER. those are NOT tropical. Please do your research. you also need to Cycle the tank before adding life to it. read up on the nitrogen cycle and stop asking on here. you cant fit any of those into a tank that small.

Person that just answered is right! Those are saltwater and you need a MUCH bigger tank! 8 gal, maybe a betta and a couple guppies!!!

Salt water requires a much bigger tank, lots of money, information and know how!!!!

Saltwater pal. your biorb will hold very little especially with the surface area. ensure it is heated and i wouldnt bother with marine fish untilll you have years of experience with freshwater tropical.
stick to mollies and other livebearers.
