Sounds like a complete kit there.

You NEED, tank, heater, filter and water conditioner, the others are optional extras.

You dont need to have an air pump if you have a power filter, but it does no harm to add one to the tank for extra aeration, water circulation and to make pretty bubbles if you are into that.

I have the exact tank you just bought, hold on, I'm looking for the owner's manual.

The eclipse system is filtration only. You'll need an air pump and air stones.

The gallon size is noted on the pump box. If you go to a specialized fish store, they'll show you a good one.

This is the website for the Eclipse manufacturers.
They have lots of info, and you can contact them directly if the website can't answer your questions.

If the filter is an external then you don't need a pump unless you want to run an airstone or decorations. You'll need to get new filter media to get going so write down what type of filter it is to get the right size foam and charcoal.

Yep that's all you need to start it up.

Cycling the tank is next step.

Then fish.

Enjoy!

Seems like you have all the bits, only thing I would add is a bottle of methylene blue.

You don't know the tank and fittings history so a dose of anti fungicide before you start to cycle would be a wise precaution.

I've also found with second hand buys, you need to be prepared to replace parts fairly quickly, (the lighting tube and starter normally go first).

The cycle will take at least two weeks, so in that time you will be able to spot defects and alter things to suit yourself.

Good luck and have fun :0)

You need a air pump to circulate the air and provide oxygen for your fish. my fish were slow moving and miserable until i added a air pump and stone :0
