if you want your betta fish have companion in the tank, find a fish that is the same to its size and has a short tail like mollyfish. avoid angel fish, guppy w/ long tail, male betta(female betta has a 50% chance not to kill by male) or any fish that has a long tail or fins. because your betta might believe its an enemy.

Cool, he seems to be fine with the molly, they both look very pretty, but im not sure if you have heard this, it’s just a suggestion, but i would reccomend putting a little box filter( like a smallworld filter) and a small heater in there, it would greatly improve there tank. Just trying to help, lol, dont take it offensively or anything.

I want to get a mollie or a platy but then I heard everyone say that they are aggressive and would hurt my betta? Have you seen that as true? Is your betta intimidate by the bright colours of your mollie?

I dont see any molly or platy hurt a betta. I have a pond before full of wild molly and platy, then I put only 1 bettafish, there’s no aggresive reaction towards the betta. I dont see betta intimidate by the color, only in the long tailed platy. but during feeding betta are aggresive to my molly, but he wont catch and hurt my molly because its a fast swimmer. heheh

If you do get mollies to try to put with your betta I would highly advise against putting males and females because the male mollies might attack the betta when breeding time comes around. Get all female or all male mollies.
