This is my Betta fish, Aqua. I have had him for about 5 days, and he seems very happy in his 10 gallon tank.

We keep our bettas in 10 gallon tanks as well and they are more than happy about it. Check them out if you like. :)

You have a very nice setup.

Wow! Your bettas are amazing, and seem to be loving all the space! :D

    Great tanks!

Hm, It sounds like a great setup, but pushing the limits for the amount of fish without stressing them. Albino and Emerald Cory cats get pretty big (3 in), and like to have some friends of the same type. Danios are the same. I would suggest that you may want to find another home for them. Guppies and the shrimp are fine in that tank. In your situation I would get 3 pygmy Cories instead of the other ones, keep 1 guppy and all shrimp and get 6 neons instead of the Danios. but It is your decision.

oh, okay. Just wanted to give my opinion. :)

can female bettas live with neon tetras

  • LeafOnTheWind12 said:

Yup. Just make sure you have either only one, or a large group of female bettas, or they will fight each other, as they need to maintain a pecking order of some sorts. On very rare occasions you may get a female betta who is nasty, but most of the time females can live with other fish peacefully. Male bettas can too, but you have to be extra careful with that, as most of them are territorial and will hurt your tankmates.

  • H3mi426 said:

i wanna get a 10 gal tank and have a betta.. what other fish can i put in there with him?

  • stickeybudz said:

Small friendly fish. Neon tetras, cardinal tetras those are safest. If you are willing to watch the fish for aggressive behavious you could put mollies in or even dwarf chiclids. Hope that helps. Betta only fight with other male bettas and are usually not very aggressive unless the other fish shows similar characteristics. ie: long fins. get tetras they are the safest.

  • stickeybudz said:

yes. neon tetras are not aggressive at all. I would even recomend getting a large number to fill the tank up. Just make sure your waterchanges are regular. They also like soft water so i would recomend putting in live plants.

Not in a five gallon. While in theory this could work, it most likely wouldn’t due to various reasons.

  • H3mi426 said:

if you cant find those, i recommend White Cloud Mountain Minnows, they are colorful and and fun to watch.

  • hotpinkcrayon99 said:

cory cats r good choices or even african dwarf frogs

  • azza910 said:

put platys and silver tip tetras are good

  • RachelsRants said:

i realize this is old but i suggest honey gouramis

  • darknight1520 said:

    god bless you

  • flyleafrules93 said:

@stickeybudz sometimes gourami, but in a small tank, dwar gouramis, r aalmost perfect with bettas :p

i love that sailors wheel for some reason… lol

I’m prob gonna put a betta in my 10 gallon when my 2 comet (x-feeder) grow out of it or put a betta in my 5.5 sitting in the garage, but it always seems like my betta die in the best of conditions, idk
