That's how big it's stomach is. You can feed your betta a little less than that twice a day. Skipping a day every so often isn't bad, either. Especially if you feed it more than once a day. I've heard of some folks feeding two or three times a day for three days and then fasting their fish or cutting back by a day. As for me, I do twice a day, and fast after three. Bettas are tough.
