I started my beta fish with blood worms and when I finished those I switched to flakes. They adjust to anything and you can change it at anytime! Hope I helped :) You can switch their food anytime.

They actually like some variety. Pellets are actually far better than flake type foods. Flake foods are hard to digest & it is easy to overfeed your betta. I'd suggest switching to Hikari Bio-Gold Betta pellets, then if you want you could occasionally feed a few freeze-dried bloodworms, or you could get an additional type of pellet with at least 40% protein. Is your betta in a suitable tank? Bettas need at least 2.5 gallons with a heater. Bettas are not like dogs, you can change their food whenever. They actually like some variety.
