Aquarium Treasures Volume 1: Georgia Aquarium – Largest Aquarium in the World – Fall 2009

21 February 2010 4 Comments

Aquarium Treasures is my personal journey to visit all of the public aquariums in the US. I decided to start this adventure off by going to the largest aquarium in the world! :) The Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, GA has over 8 million gallons of aquatic habitats including a 6.3 million gallon tank which has the capacity to hold 6 mature whale sharks. The current whale sharks in that tank are all juveniles at a measly 15' - 20' in length. They can grow up to 40' in length. The Georgia Aquarium will be both the first and last stop on my journey. Please visit www.extreme-Aquatics.com to read more about this visit and my quest. Thank-you, xaquatics
