the intel community, cia, used a simular design to monitor nuclear discharge water outside of n. korea’s nuke plants to check for traces of plutonium refinment…although there spy fish were much bigger… having small more realistic robot fish would be a better alternative….cool post

Besides, I think they are being paid to cunstruct the fish for more Orwelian reasons.
Why is their objective to make this final product so that it cant be distinguished from real fish??
If it’s purpose is to patrol oil wells etc, there is no practical reason for the robot to look identical to a real fish.
It could look like a submarine, or a torpedo if that is what functions best.
He said it could be used for reconnaissance, that’s why they want it to be indistinguishable from real fish. Last thing you want, is for enemies to detect a little robot fish swimming around their waters.
