My multi-coloured veil tail betta fish from Wal-Mart. He’s in a 1 gallon tank and I may upgrade in the future but as of now, it’s much easier to keep a close eye on him and treat him when needed. (Also, I think he’s much better off in a one gallon than a tiny cup). I just bought a baby BiOrb and the instructions says not to put the ceramic media on top of the filter body but it looks crap with nothing on top. Does anyone have one that can help?
Ceramic media is the stones/gravel at the bottom.

i ma thinking about getting a salt water tank and have decided to get a 55 gallon tank, not to big to handle and not to mall that the water is hard to get just right. i am saving up for it and was wondering if anyone can give me an average price for all the accessories and tank, fish not included.

I transferred the TINIEST baby fish into another tank once I found them. Since I can’t use the filter (it’ll suck em up apparently) the tank it GROSS and SMELLY and it NEEDS to be cleaned. i added a pinch of fish food at like 1 pm and tested the ammonia with my kit at 4:30 pm and so far its green meaning 0 ammonia….Did i test it too early or does the food turn into ammonia rather quick? I also added stress zyme last night so maybe thats a reason as to why it reads 0? Thoughts? When can i add fish? I’m doing a fishless cycle btw.
