but not all the time u should take the female out of the tank and feed her like u normally would then after 4 days take the male out and then u may let the fry do whatever on their own but feed them but not before 2 days because they will be either eating the inforsia or will still be eating their egg yolk…

get an empty fish tank fill it with water get a heater put the female in a container in the tank and get a styrophome cup put in a cornor of te ank put the male in the tank so he can see the female and make a bubble nest when u suspect his finnished hest bubble nest let the female go in with the male and the mae will harass it but a few hours or a day shell come up to the bubble nest with her head down and tail up and presto the start breeding.

They will breed anytime of year in captivity. Just get the water level about halfway in a 10g then heat the water to about 80F. Of coarse there is a little more than that to it.

The Male gettes really protective after the little ones arive! :) thats why you have to take the Female out after he getts agresive like that. :)

i have a male and female betta and the male attacks her why?

  • peenzert said:

first of all don’t use a divider. try using a thing of chimney glass or like a glass cup and put her in it. then put it in the middle of the tank so he will be able to always see her. but what u need to do is make sure the female is ready to breed, like if her chest is fat or bulging with eggs, and then u have to make sure the male is been conditioned too. so if u did that what u do next is keep her in that cup and put half a styrofoam cup in the tank and wait for him to build his bubble nest.
