Took this video on Wednesday, August the 9th of 2006 around 2-3 PM (FACT: Bettas mate until the female is depleted of eggs! The bubble nest is real, my male betta made all those bubbles. mY betta did build his nest and they’ve been in there for a day so I hope that the male engages the female soon it’s a matter of time…any suggestions to lead the male into engaging the female?

i have two bettas a male and a female in a 10 gallon tank there is this fuzzy thing hidden in the gravel and in the middle theres this little thing that looks like a seed is that an egg? and i dont have them seprated but for some reason my male betta would not make a bubble nestwhy is that? and if i put a bottom feeder fish in my tank will the male betta attack it?
males bettas only attack other male bettas, but since they have bad eyesight, if there is another fish that has long fins, he will attack that too, but I have a cory catfish with my male betta, and they do fine together
so many bubbles mine blows like 3 bubbles and then quits lol mine is lazey

omg i got a female to mate with my male today and… SHE ONLY HAS ONE EYE !!! 1 EYE we have no clue what happened to her other eye we gust well bought her without her eye
maybe the male fish is abusive and he nibbled it out
i got my 10 gallon tank with betta supply only $20 and my female died will breeding but the eggs were ok and i had red dragon fry.

u always always always hav to watch them while mating even though u dont hav time then u shouldnt mate them

see evrytime they ‘hug’ round 41(?) eggs get fertilisd n laid. u can see d male one packagin d eggs in bubbles after each hug.

Can someone help I want my betas yk have babies but I need help I’m scared they might killed each other and if they do have babies do I leave the babie they’re till they’re big or what?

I put my bettas together to breed and the next day the female had the males entire bottom fin in her mouth! She ripped it right off! I guess they just weren’t ready yet!!!
first when the male is done taking the eggs out the female u take the girl out and leave him with the eggs then when the eggs hatch and the babys are swiming u take the father out from there on u have to feed the babies baby brine shrimp or microworms or infuzoria if u kno how to make them and yes u can leave the baby there o r move them to another tank if u want
all you have to do is get some hay or grass(hay works better)put it in a jar with water and a little bit of air and leave it in a window for 3-4 days hoped these helped
so r u supposed to just feed the female till it gets fat and wait for the male to start making its nest…then put the female with the male?
