Aquarium Lights

Theres is a lot of fancy lighting for aquariums available these days. But are they an essential addition for your fish tank or more of visual thing?

Aquarium lights for fish are needed pretty much like humans need light in everyday living. Too little light is not too good where too much can be bring problems. Aquarium lights not only mimic both darkness and light but they can also emit UV rays which are important for providing needed vitamins, this is just like us soaking up vitamin C just by being exposed to the sun.

Although the fish in our tanks are important lets not forget any live plants we may have in there, this is another reason why fish tank lights are important! The light is needed for the plants to produce oxygen. If you have a marine tank with coral this will also need a source of light.

Any colourful fish that you keep such as bettas or neon tetras will also appear a lot brighter and vibran.
