Robot Fish

1 May 2009 25 Comments

This is world's first robot fish. It really looks like a fish but the most impressive part is it's swimming ability. It can swim just as fast as thuna which pretty fast compared to other fish. More at www.hight3ch.com

that reporter should do her research “with the speed of a tuna…whatever that is” gosh

  • rockamataz said:

she shouldn’t have said “… whatever that is” cause it ruined the joke. or whatever it was.

    Wonder what it tastes like!

tuna are some of the fastest fish – the bluefin can hit speeds of 40-45mph!!!

in the future, we will become cyborgs and we shall eat robot fish.

“at the speed of a tuna, w\e that is” lol wtf shes retarded

  • JuniorTiburon said:

why not make a giant whale?Instead of a fish.I mean if you just look at it for 60 seconds, its so boring and dumb.

  • absoftitanium said:

Well, since the ‘speed of a tuna’ is up to 50 knots, let’s say we doubt it.

  • absoftitanium said:

Yes, up to 80km/h in the water for a bluefin. I think it would take a LOT of power, like a few horsepower, for this thing to reach speeds like that. Unlikely, given its battery powered electric propulsion. Pure horseshit, in other words.

  • DimetroBOT said:

Tuna muscle power output (at full speed) is in the range of 100-200 watts/kilogram of body mass. And, the tuna is a Flow God, with loads of elegant, low-drag features. That swimming christmas ornament in the video is cool, but it ain’t no tuna… it’s not even a half-assed bass. if you want speed, you gotta use deep power. No magic about it. And, it isn’t the 1st robotic fish, not by decades.

  • ElectronicPets said:

I think she meant she didn’t know what the speed was… not the tuna!
