Changing Water In A Tropical Aquarium

How do i change the water in my 150 gallon tropical fish tank? I am looking to keep Oscars in it and want to change the water oncea week.

The part i am unsure of is how i'm supposed to get the temp right and dechlorinate before adding to my tank?

Also, will i need another fish tank and heater to prepare the water prior to changing?

With my tropical fish tank i check amonia and nitrate levels every day,if the test shows the water as being a little pinki change 25% of the water. If levels are ok i only do a 25% water change ONCE a month. I have a gravel cleaner that empties the water whilst cleaning the gravel.

You shouldnt ever remove or change all of the water, doing so can cause harm to your fish as you remove all of the bacteria needed.
The 25% i add is from the tap and i add tap safe just add and the temperature is taken care of by the tank. You really dont need an extra tank or heater.
