The Koi have become very popular in making them as pets. The first Koi were produced by breeding the Asian Carp and the German Carp. The first colors were recorded around 1805. Countries like the United States (typically in warmer places like California and Nevada), Japan, Singapore and Israel raise the fish for purchase.
