Fancy Guppies
If i am getting guppies for my aquarium what needs to be in the tank?
I am thinking of geting my guppies from Walmart, will they be quality fish from here?
Also when i have them should the bag they are in be floated in the aquarium prior to releasing?
What are your thoughts on the best things about fancy guppies?
Is aquarium salt needed? I need to know as much as i can! Please tell me all you know about guppies!!

I would suggest a big aquarium. I made the mistake of getting a bowl like the one in the Disney movie Ponchio, all my fish kept dying. I was advised that this was due to the bowl being tooo small! Oh and you will need to float the fish in your tank first.
Set your tank up with all the usual things you need in you aquarium such as gravel, heater, filter, real plants (although fake are ok) to provide cover. You will then need to cycle the aquarium for a few weeks.
Dont buy any kind of breeding trap as they will just kill your fish. Look up ‘drip method’ and this will give you other ways that are good to aclimatise your fish in a new tank. I know a lot about this stuff, more than i am prepared to sit here and write, best thing would be to buy a good book or as many as you may need. If breeding guppies is your goal then you have a good amount of reading to do before you can even consider starting
If i get your experience with fish right, from what i have read, then you need to 1st learn how to kepp your pet fish alive only then should you begin to learn about diets, growing your fish etc. Keep at it though! I am not here to discourage, just that there is a lot more to this than a lot of people realise!
