Put some gloves on and scrub glass with CLR to get any bacteria or stains off. rinse well including all the stuff in our tank like rocks and ornaments. Put everything back in and refill. Buy the fish that look like small sharks with the heads like catfish as they eat bacteria and help clean your aquarium. Oscar fish are good to add as well.

as a guide, 3 goldfish should be in a 30 gallon fish tank. do a 30% water change every week as the fish droppings can become ammonia and do damge to your goldfish. Get a test kit for this andd do it at the same time every week to keep on top. Dont overfeed as this can cause probs too.

fish dont need to be removed from the tank unless you really need to, they are only little things and can be very stressful. I just leave them in and work around them, i will take them out only when doing a full tank clean which is not very often

Dont whatever you do remove the fish when you are carrying out a water change.

NEVER clean the whole tank at the same time, only exception is if its a new tank that has had no fish in it.

partial water changes (for conditioned water) of 25% using a gravel cleaner once a week is used as a general rule of thumb.

The fish should be fed twice a day with as much as they can chomp in 2 minutes. All left over food needs to be netted out straight away.

Goldfish will grow quickly so if you have them in a 10 gallon tank they will need a 30 gallon aquarium inaround 6 months time. Also make sure you have a good fish tank filter in place
