If you ask any aquarium expert, they will tell you a  marine home aquarium is a fish tank of the most sensational type. Probably, they will also let you know that marine aquariums require a great deal of fish tank maintenance. These aquariums require a lot more attention and care than the care you are taking for the freshwater aquariums. If you are interested in setting up a marine aquarium, you must make yourself ready to have at least a new hobby; if not, it would be a new complete obsession.

If you ask aquarium experts, they will tell you that a

Basically, there are three types of marine home aquariums. “Reef aquariums” feature a diverse variety of marine invertebrates – anemones, corals, giant clams, etc. “Fish-only aquariums” contain a variety of marine fish species only. These are somewhat harder to keep clean since the benefits of liverock are lacking here. “Fish-only with liverock aquariums” are the combination of the first two types; these are the best among the three types where the liverocks perform the function of filtration, which reduces the need for frequent water changes.

Marine home aquariums are desirable aquariums for most individuals because saltwater fish are available in wide variety of species. There are many marine fish species are available, which are really breathtaking to view. In freshwater aquariums, you can have only a limited number of different species; however, in marine tanks, you can have an entire ocean of fish in one small room. The plantlife in marine aquariums offers you more variety and colour, though most of the plants in marine tanks are actually marine invertebrate animals. The maiden’s hair algae provide a soft appearance featured with all the benefits of the macroalgae. The presence of these algae looks like a thick bright-green carpet, which adds an intense green colour and soft-flowing motion to any type of marine aquariums.

Some of the most beautiful organisms such as butterfly fish, cardinal fish, clownfish, corals, damselfish, large angelfish, dotty back, dragonet, goby, grammas, marine eel, marine invertebrates, jaw fish, lionfish, puffer fish, rabbit fish, sea bass, sea anemone, seahorse, shrimp, surgeonfish, and triggerfish can only be grown in saltwater aquariums.

In the yesteryears, the individuals who wanted to have a marine aquarium had to fundamentally design one themselves. However, the trend has been changed today! The recent developments in the marine home aquarium technology have disproved that the freshwater aquariums are easier to care for. Now, some marine fish tanks are made to be as low maintenance as possible.
